Hello everyone!
This past weekend at the Pokemon Center was pretty lackluster, but a couple new things came out.
Apparel Shirts
There was a very small collection of clothing and related items, mainly featuring Pikachu, and aimed at parents with kids.
Each clothing item (t-shirt, hoodie, and jacket) had an adult version and a smaller but matching child version.
Due to some sort of manufacturing error, the jacket release was delayed. At this point, we don’t yet know when the new release date will be, but as soon as anyone knows, that information will be posted.

Along with the apparel, there were also two types of pouches and four tote-bags.
Half the items had this weird houndstooth style pattern, which I realized upon closer inspection is actually made of Pikachu silhouettes. I’m still not a fan, but I guess it’s less random now that I know.
Tote-Bags
Although only three tote-bags are pictured here, there was actually four – one was the Pikachu houndstooth pattern but smaller sized.
Pikachu Clothing Patches
There were also two sets of clothing patches, one with Pikachu and a Pokeball and one with two Pikachu faces.
Scream Phone Cases
Not really new but still interesting, the Tokyo DX Center started stocking phone cases and a couple other items from the Edvard Munch art exhibit that happened at the end of 2018.
Phone cases are available with: Pikachu, Eevee, Mimikyu, Psyduck, and Rowlet.

Last but not least! Samples of the up-coming Q-Pot x Pokemon part 2 Eeveelution cupcake bag charms are currently in display at Pokemon Centers in Japan.
Similar to part 1, these charms are cute and food related! But please don’t eat them.
That wraps up this week’s Pokemon Center Report.
Until next time~

Hello everyone~
I’m playing catch-up with the big Pokemon Center releases from New Years and so here we go with the first two big promotions that coincidentally came out on the first of the year
Starting with…

Mix Au Lait!
This promotion is a sequel to the original Saiko Soda promotion, featuring original artwork by F*Kaori (a graphic designer and illustrator). While the first release focused on a soda pop theme, this new one has a mixed canned coffee theme, with each Eeveelution having their own individual flavor and design.
Mix Au Lait Plush
The release featured 9 adorable plush: one for each Eeveelution plus Eevee
Saiko Soda Plush
Along with plush sized versions of the previously released Saiko Soda Eevee and Pikachu mascot plush.
I received a couple comments from people on the size of the plushies, which were all bigger than expected (always a nice surprise!)

Along with the plush, there were also a set of 9 mascot plush and plush face badges. The badges have safety pins on the back to make them easy to attach to things like bags, clothing, whatever you want.
Mix Au Lait Mascot Plush
The mascot plush ended up being different poses than the main plush, which was sort of a surprise to me. Between the two designs, I personally prefer the sitting plush (I’m not the biggest fan of the faces on the mascot plush).
On the other hand, the plush face badges were a cute and original idea!

A surprisingly popular part of the release were the MEI brand messenger bags. These bags are not the biggest (definitely not big enough to hold a laptop unless it’s an incredibly small one that maybe doesn’t exist and is actually a tablet) but they’re still fairly sturdy, a nice size for every-day items like phones, aforementioned tablets, notebooks, wallets, glasses, etc., and they’re cute!
Mix Au Lait Messenger Bag
There were 10 designs in total for the bags, with 1 for every Eeveelution plus 1 (not pictured) with Saiko Soda themed Pikachu.

Another cute item from the release: pens!
As with everything else mentioned here so far, there was 1 pen per Eeveelution (of course, I got Umbreon for myself!)
Mix Au Lait Stuff
There were a bunch of group Eeveelution items that are also worth mentioning, including bandaids, a tupperware set, a 2-tier bento box, two types of heat resistant glass mugs, and a pack of assorted stickers (which were more popular than I was expecting).
There were also socks, with designs available of all the Eeveelutions plus Saiko Soda Eevee and Pikachu.
And not forgetting the glass mugs with individual Eeveelution designs that were only available on-line.
Mix Au Lait Cookies
The cookie tin ended up being slightly smaller than I was expecting, but that’s not a bad thing!
Each tin comes with an assortment of vanilla butter cookies shaped like Eeveelution faces. I’m pretty sure you are guaranteed at least one of each Eeveelution plus one or two extras but I might be wrong. I know I got Eevee, Sylveon, and Umbreon, and honestly that’s all I care about.

Along with cookies, there was a new item. Keeping with the pop theme, the Center sold a set of 9 Eeveelution themed candies. Each package is shaped like a canned drink and contains yummy ramune candy!
Mix Au Lait Gacha
Last but not least, there were also three gacha releases!
There were two sets from the Mix Au Lait series, with a different Eevee in Volume 1 and 2, plus a separate Saiko Soda gacha set including a third Eevee, plus Pikachu, Oddish, Swirlix, and Litwick.

Moving on!
The second release that came out on New Years was the Pokedoll mascot & plush accessory release.
Pokedoll Mascot
The Pokemon featured in this release were: Snorlax, Mew, Gengar, Lapras, and Poliwhirl.
Pokedoll Sleeping Bags
Along with the plush, there were also tiny accessories designed to fit these smaller sized Pokedolls, including three types of sleeping bags (Chansey, Weepinbell, and Magikarp)
Pokedoll Couch
A Pikachu couch and a Snorlax couch
Plus a couple other items including a Pikachu bus, a small train, and a Mimikyu tent!

On a parting note, shopping on New Years morning at the Pokemon Center was one of the nuttiest decisions of my life. After waiting all night from midnight to get a Lucky Bag, the Pokemon Center was a mob scene with the line for the registers extending out of the store and down the hall. To make it worse, for about an hour or so after opening, half the registers were devoted to people buying Lucky Bags so the register line for regular items wasn’t moving. I jokingly mentioned to Jen from Japanstuffs that it was like being perpetually stuck in purgatory, except it wasn’t funny, and it was more like hell because it was so hot and full of people.
Eventually the line started to move and we did eventually leave (or am I writing this from line still?!) but wow. I thought last year was bad, but it seems every year New Years at the Pokemon Center gets worse and worse, at least regarding their inability to stagger releases and crowd control.
And on that delightful note… that wraps up this week’s Pokemon Center Report!
Until next time~

Hello everyone!
This week’s announcements were… lackluster. But I guess not every week can be Christmas.

Q-Pot x Pokemon returns with Eeveelution themed cupcake bag charms!
Unlike the original release, these charms will only be available via pre-order from the Pokemon Center On-Line Store. The pre-order period will run from February 1st (Friday) 10 am until February 28th (Thursday) 11:59 pm. Charms will start shipping out beginning of May.
Each charm will cost 11,880 yen including tax and comes with a cute Eeveelution and sweets themed box and matching paper bag. Charms are limited 1 per design per person.

K-Treasure is starting a new custom order jewelry service.
Referred to as “Free Writing Pendants”, customers will be able to choose the font, what it says (up to 8 characters – alphabet, numbers, plus the heart character and infinity character), a Pokemon charm (called a “mark” on the website) from 19 available choices, and the material (yellow gold, pink gold, or white gold).

Necklaces are 29,800 yen each including tax and ship out within 4-5 weeks from ordering.
That wraps up this week’s Pokemon Center announcements!
Stay tuned as I play catch up with the last two weekends of Pokemon Center Reports~
