by ZombieMiki | Oct 27, 2019 | Pokemon, Pokemon Center Report
A bunch of small releases came out this past week (pushed back from the original release date of October 12th due to the typhoon).
The latest release from the very popular Ditto Transform series came out on the 15th at Pokemon Centers & Stores around Japan.
This batch included Mew, Mimikyu, Exeggutor, Wobbuffet, and Muk in both regular and mascot plush sized forms.
Monpoke is a new baby brand designed specifically for parents who are into Pokemon to share their fondness with their children and includes mainly baby and toddler related items, including these super soft plush which are also easily washable.
The set of plush, which is currently available at Pokemon Centers in Japan, include Pikachu, Dedenne, Ludicolo, Mime Jr, and Smeargle. They’re all super cute and make a great gift for people of all ages!
That wraps up this Pokemon Center Report~

Two quick words before I dive into this week’s Pokemon Center Report~
First off, big apologizes for the lack of updates lately! The blog is not ending, but two weeks in a row we didn’t get merchandise news from the main Pokemon website and then my main source for Pokemon Center photos was on holiday in the United States.
But we are back so I appreciate everyone’s patience.
Second – the official Zombie Miki store is back in business, with a new look and with more items!
Check it out here
I will be adding items in as quickly as I can. Most of these items are from my personal collection and were bought directly from the Pokemon Center in Tokyo over the course of 7 years. They’re all in near perfect if not perfect condition, but if you have any questions about an item, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me!
On that note, if you notice any issues with the cart or checking out, or if you have a question about shipping prices, also please let me know (you can send me a message through my contact page or send me a DM on Twitter). I am happy to offer discounted shipping for larger purchases 🙂
Also as mentioned, I am selling a good majority of my Pokemon merchandise collections, which includes some bigger items such as the New Years Fennekin sleeping plush, New Years Fennekin face cushion, and a complete set of the Monthly Pikachu collection. The Pokemon I collected over the years include: Fennekin, Meowstic, Litwick, Mew, Clefairy, Raichu, Dedenne, Holiday Pikachu, Sylveon, and Vulpix (Kanto & Alolan versions). If there is a specific item you are looking for, there is a good chance I have it and am selling it, so please ask me directly.

The release of the original 151 Kanto region Pokemon Fit plushies were a great success, but even I was still surprised when the Pokemon Center announced they would be continuing the Sitting Cuties series (the international release name) with all Pokemon featured in Gold & Silver… including every single Unown plus ! and ?
(Pictured here is M for Miki, of course)
Although I couldn’t take pictures of every Pokemon in the release, here are a few notable examples~
Pokemon Fit Gold Silver 1
I love this series so much mainly because the plush are all super soft and the perfect size.
Pictured here: Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Sentret, Furret (not to scale), Cleffa, Mareep, Flaaffy, and Ampharos (one of the most popular electric type Pokemon!)
Pokemon Fit Gold Silver 2
I didn’t realize until this release how many Johto region Pokemon I love, and the Pokemon Center did a great job converting everyone’s favorite Pokemon into a super adorable plush form.
I think they did an especially great job with Sudowoodo (which, by the way, is a play on words since he is psuedo-wood-o… in case you didn’t know!)
Also shout out to the second official Dunsparce plush – the first plush was released at Pokemon Centers in Japan in 2013.
Pictured here: Sudowoodo, Politoed, Espeon, Umbreon, Girafarig, Dunsparce, Delibird, Houndour, and Houndoom.
Pokemon Fit Gold Silver 3
Other notable plushies: Smeargle and Miltank (both very cute).
The three legendary beasts came out looking, for the most part, pretty good. My real question is… what animal do you think the beasts are? (I always saw them as dogs)
Pictured here: Stantler, Smeargle, Miltank, Blissey, Raikou, Entei, Suicune.
Pokemon Fit Plush Gold Silver 4
Last but not least – everyone’s favorite recently, most likely because of Pokemon Go: The Tar Family! Tyranitar was definitely one of the big sellers from the release, no joke.
Pictured here: Larvitar, Tyranitar, Lugia, Ho-oh, Celebi
What was your favorite plush, or plushes, from this release? What did you buy?

The newest Pokemon XY Break expansion set, Awakening Psychic King, was released today in Japan, along with a couple auxiliary TCG goods, including two new battle decks and 4 Pokemon Center exclusive card sleeves.
I guess the Center knew that the sleeves would be popular because even with a weekday release, they decided to put the sleeves behind the counter instead of on display in the store. This means no nice display picture, but I’d give up the in-store display for drama-free sleeve buying. The past couple of Friday sleeve releases resulted in me showing up to the Center very early and there being no line, but that was not the case today; the line pre-opening was longer than the line on Wednesday for the Kyoto Center promotion!
Everyone loves Eevee(lutions).

Along with a non-exclusive Zygarde Perfect Forme design (not pictured) there was the very popular Eeveelution design

Occult Maniac with Banette buddy

Ho-oh and Smeargle

and Octillary, whose name sounds nothing like Octillary in Japanese (random observation).

These deck boxes, featuring the main Awakening Psychic King artwork, also went on sale today

Along with two Perfect Battle Decks: Zygarde EX

and Audino EX.

The Audino and Mega Audino EX cards are especially adorable, and although I went in to the store today not planning on buying one of these sets, after seeing the card list (each battle deck comes with different sets of 60 cards) I’m tempted to pick one up…

I did end up buying 5 packs of booster cards in the hopes that I would pull one of the new Minccino cards.

Out of 5 packs, I pulled 2 Cinccinos. So close yet so far! Also another reason to buy the Audino Battle Deck because it comes with 2 Minccino~ (my babu)

The second half of this clearfile campaign also started today. Customers can pick 1 clearfile from these 3 designs for every purchase at the Pokemon Center, while supplies last.
Not ready for the week of releases to be over? Stay tuned for tomorrow when a new batch of kuttari plush, the very first monthly pair pikachu, and this year’s Pokemon Easter promotion are released!

The weekly Pokemon merch announcements actually came out on Thursday (it happens sometimes!) which was kind of a surprise as I was out at the time catching Eevees from the newest Kororin Friends release. None of the major announcements are really “new” but they did come with nice photos, so they’re worth mentioning!

The very first installment of the brand new Monthly Pair Pikachu series!
Just like Freshman Pikachu started off the Monthly Pikachu series, this time we get two school kid Pikachus, ready for the start of the semester as well as cherry blossom season.
These plush retail for 2,600 yen + tax and will go on sale March 19th at all Pokemon Centers and Stores in Japan, as well as the on-line store.

Card sleeves! These four designs are Pokemon Center exclusives and will only be available for sale at Pokemon Centers and stores, as well as the Pokemon Center on-line store. Each pack contains 32 sleeves and sells for 362 yen + tax.
Release date is March 18th (Friday). I strongly suggest pre-ordering these designs if you really want them, especially the Eeveelution design, as I have a feeling they will go fast, even with the 10 per design per person limits in place.

Last but not least, Easter 2016! If you like Pokemon shaped as eggs, this promotion was designed for you. Release date is March 19th and will be available at all Pokemon Centers and stores, as well as the Pokemon Center on-line store.
