Pokemon Center Report – New Plush + TCG + Magikarp Jump

Pokemon Center Report – New Plush + TCG + Magikarp Jump

Hello everyone!

In my attempts to catch up with a bunch of releases that came out all at once, here is part one covering new Pokemon Center plush, card sleeves, Magikarp Jump mini promotion, and a couple miscellaneous items.

First up: new Pokemon Center exclusive plush!

ORAS Plush Again

I should probably say “new” as the majority of plush in this batch came out about two years back or so with the release of Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby.

With such a large number of Pokemon, many of which don’t have official plush, I’m not sure why the Center gave us plush of Pokemon that literally get plush all the time, but the Pokemon Center does what it wants. With that said, the plush are still cute!

Tomy Dusk Lycanroc

Our very first official plush of Dusk Lycanroc came out a few weekends ago!

Along with this adorable Rowlet plush that comes with a little backpack to carry him around in.

Lycanroc & Shiny Mimikyu

Last weekend, two surprise and unannounced Pokemon Center plush were released under the rader: shiny Mimikyu and the second official plush of Dusk Lycanroc!

September TCG

Two Friday’s ago, a bunch of new Pokemon card sleeves were released along with the release of the “Awakened Heroes” and “Ultra-Dimensional Beasts” booster packs.

A matching deck case featuring beautiful Silvally artwork also went on sale the same Friday.

Schedule Books 2018

Four schedule books for 2018 went on sale last weekend also with little fanfare and no previous announcements.

The two Pikachu books are made of leather and the price for both reflect it, as they’re double the price of the Ditto Transform! and Eeveelution books. All of them are cute!

Magikarp Jump

Last and certainly not least, a very small amount of official Magikarp Jump merchandise came out two weekends back. Not pictured here is the blind packaged acrylic charms. (I have two on the way and I’m excited to see which fish patterns I pull!)

Stay tuned for more exciting Pokemon Center Reports!

Until next time~

Friday Pokemon Announcements – Pokemon TCG “Awakened Heroes” / Ultra-Dimensional Beasts”

Hello everyone!

I’m back with a separate Friday Merch Announcements post to cover the most recent Pokemon TCG news~

Two new booster packs have been announced via the Pokemon TCG website for release September 15th (Friday).

“Awakened Heroes” (SM4S) and “Ultra-Dimensional Beasts” (SM4A) are both normal booster sets. Each individual pack will cost 162 yen after tax and contain 5 random cards.

As a bonus along with the release, special “First Edition” boxes (30 packs of cards) will be sold of each booster set, with each box containing a guaranteed at least 1 SR, HR, or UR card.

Also starting September 15th, for every two boxes (60 packs) of booster packs bought, you will get 1 full deck’s worth of original Acerola card sleeves (64 sleeves). These bonus sleeves will be given out as a bonus while supplies last and will be available at all Pokemon Centers and Stores in Japan, along with the on-line Pokemon Center Store.

These sleeves can only be obtained through this promotion, and the design is incredibly adorable, so don’t miss out!

September Card Sleeves

As with most big TCG releases, five new card sleeve designs will also go on sale in Japan starting September 15th (Friday).

The five designs are:

Silvally
Drampa
Tapu Lele
Goliosopod
Team Skull (Zubat + Salandit)

All packs are for full decks with 64 sleeves each and will cost 777 yen after tax.

There will also be a Silvally deck case costing 390 yen after tax.

That wraps up the latest Pokemon TCG news!

Pokemon Center Report – Lillie & Gladion + Colorful Trip

Pokemon Center Report – Lillie & Gladion + Colorful Trip

This weekend started off the busy first half of the summer at the Pokemon Center with a super cute travel themed Pokemon Center promotion called “Colorful Trip”, along with a Lillie and Gladion themed promotion.

Starting with Lillie! Out of the two promos this weekend, only the Lillie promo had a plush: a Clefairy based on her much loved in-game doll. As anyone knows who follows my blog, I love Clefairy, so it’s no surprise I was especially excited for this doll for my collection. I assumed it would be about pokedoll sized, even with the price. It ended up being double (triple?) that size, but I’m not complaining. The more Clefairy the better!

The Lillie promotion offered a bunch of unique items that aren’t usually seen in Pokemon Center promotions, such as these paper craft sets.

Can badge sets! Not only are the sets themselves fairly original, but the shape of the badges as well are not the typical round can badge shape.

A lot of items featured the main Lillie and Cosmog illustration. Half of those items also featured a Gladion and Silvally version. There were a couple items that only came in one variation (Lillie, Gladion, or Lusamine) and this flat pouch is one of the few Lusamine items, along with a handkerchief.

For people who loved the illustrations themselves, they were available in “mini” sized poster form. There were five designs in total – Lillie & Cosmog, Lillie & Solgaleo, Lillie & Lunala, Gladion & Silvally, and Lusamine & Nihilego. The Lillie with legendary designs are somehow even more adorable since they both feature child Lillie.

Moving on to the travel promotion! All of the merchandise in the line-up is travel inspired and there was so many pouches, bags, and other travel related accessories. Perfect for the Pokemon lover who travels a lot! These six stickers feature the six main illustrations.

The merchandise line-up was not super big, but this promotion also featured a bunch of original items mixed in with some traditional promo stuff (like this pouch).

This pouch, appropriately named a “travel pouch”, was pretty neat! First, it was bigger than I was expecting, but also it folds out and can be used to store a bunch of items in different compartments.

There was a bunch of old-fashioned trunk inspired merch, both cute and functional. This “suitcase” is actually a shoulder bag. Also of note is the promotion hang tag, which looks like a ticket. (Too cute?!)

This adorable lunch-box themed cookie tin is filled with chocolate Pokeball-shaped cookies.

Last but not least, you can’t travel without actual luggage. There were two suitcases available for purchase, both with a Pokemon theme. The downside is Pokemon Center suitcases are too small for international travel, especially for the price, which is a shame. If it was cheaper or bigger, I would snap one up in a heart beat.

That wraps up this weekend’s Pokemon Center report!
Did you get anything from either promotion? What were you looking forward to the most?

Until next time~
