Get ready for the month of “It’s not quite Halloween but I guess it’s fine” aka September!
This month gives us some Halloween plush, the continuation of the Korotto Manmaru Colorful series, and a couple other surprises.
What is Banpresto?
Banpresto is a company that manufactures plush, figures, towels, glasses, and other items to be used as prizes for claw machines in game centers as well as kuji prizes. None of these items are designed to be sold directly through stores and cannot be found in Pokemon Centers. Note that the exception to this are Pokemon kujis, however even in this case, you have to win the prizes; you can’t buy the prize you want directly. Typically, you can find these prize items in game centers or sold second hand through auction sites, amazon, or other similar stores.
Most Pokemon releases from Banpresto drop on Tuesday or Thursday, with occasional releases on Friday. Ichiban Kuji generally goes on sale on Saturdays.
Some of the bigger name game centers in Japan include: Adores, Sega, Round 1, Namco, and Taito Station. Keep in mind, not all game center locations stock all prizes.
Two releases from the Poke Gyutto (Poke-Squeeze) and Poke Dakko (Poke-Hug) lines will come out September 19th (Thursday).
Both sets include Vulpix (Kanto version) and Piplup, with the sitting plush measuring 24 cm and the laying plush measuring about 25 cm each.
From the I Love Gengar line, an extra large Gengar plush (measuring about 34 cm) will start appearing in game centers around Japan from September 10th (Tuesday).
The Colorful Korotto Manmaru series continues with brown for September. This set, which will start appearing in game centers from September 12th (Thursday) includes Cubone, Hitmonlee, and Eevee, with each plush measuring about 22 cm.
A set of smaller Halloween themed plush (Pikachu x 2, Raichu, Pichu), each measuring about 13 cm, will also start appearing in game centers around Japan from September 12th (Thursday).
From the Mogu-Mogu (Snack) Time series…
An extra large plush of Slowpoke, measuring about 40 cm, will start appearing in game centers from September 19th (Thursday).
Smaller sized plush of Raichu, Meowth, Gengar, and Ditto, each measuring about 12 cm, will start appearing in game centers from September 26th (Thursday).
Last but not least, from the general Pokemon Sun & Moon series…
An extra large Lugia plush, measuring about 40 cm, will start appearing in game centers from September 12th (Thursday).
A set of smaller sized mascot plush with little elastic bands for easy attachment will start appearing in game centers from September 12th (Thursday). This set includes Pikachu, Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle, with each plush measuring about 12 cm.
A set of mini plush pouches (Pikachu x 3, Pokeball x 1), each measuring about 10 cm, will start appearing in game centers from September 26th (Thursday).

With the release of Pokemon Let’s Go! Pikachu & Eevee a week away, we have a bunch of exciting announcements related to the games.
A bunch of Pokemon Center related campaigns related to the original 151 Pokemon will start from November 16th (Friday).
The official Pokemon Center cafe will be offering latte art of all 151 Pokemon by request, with each latte costing 756 yen including tax.
For every drink ordered, you will also receive 1 of 6 random coasters: Pikachu & Eevee, Ditto, Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, or a special secret design.
Anyone who visits the Pokemon Cafe between November 16th (Friday) and March 3rd (Sunday) – or while supplies last – will receive 1 random Pokemon sticker out of a possible 151.
These stickers will also be given out to all Pokemon Centers customer, 1 sticker per receipt, starting from November 16th (Friday) until February 22nd (Friday) – while supplies last.
Starting November 16th (Friday) and running while supplies last, all Pokemon Center & Store customers will receive 1 original My 151 design shopping bag.
Finally, starting November 16th (Friday), all customers who order from the Pokemon Center’s official on-line store will receive their order in a limited edition box featuring 1 random Pokemon out of the original 151.
The much anticipated volume 2 of the Pokemon Fit or Sitting Cuties series will be going on sale at all Pokemon Centers & Stores in Japan from November 16th (Friday).
This release will include the 121 remaining Pokemon that weren’t included in the original Volume 1 release back in July.

Like volume 1, each plush will cost 1,188 yen including tax.
The Pokemon Center, in collaboration with the ceramics brand “Chugaitoen”, will be releasing three ceramic ornaments: Pikachu, Eevee, and Pikachu with Swinub.
These three ornaments will go on sale at all Pokemon Centers & Stores in Japan from November 23rd (Friday).
Pikachu and Eevee individual ornaments will sell for 972 yen each.
The ornament of Pikachu and Swinub will sell for 1,404 yen including tax.
The Pokemon Center’s New Years merchandise for 2019 will go on sale at all Pokemon Centers & Stores from November 23rd (Friday).
Note that these items do not include the lucky bags or other related goods that typically come out around New Years – this mini promotion is for items that are used around New Years, such as traditional Japanese decorations and greeting cards.
