Hello everyone and welcome to October – the best month in the year!
First up, special announcement number one
My birthday is October 30th!
Send me birthday coffees via ko-fi.com and I’ll draw you a sketch of your choice! Just leave a note with what you want me to draw :3
Special announcement number two

Bumping my Patreon!
Not only do you get to see original charm and sticker illustrations as I design them, but you get advance notice of items added to my sticker/charm store, get to see commissions I can’t share publicly, and for postcard tier patrons, a cute monthly Miki original postcard sent straight to you from me with a handwritten note.
Special announcement number three

I added two new designs to both my Threadless and Teepublic stores.
As of this post, the two designs over on Teepublic are currently 30% off and will be for the next 15 hours.
This past weekend was the latest Pokemon Center kuttari plush release plus a cute gacha figure set from the Pokemon Yurutto series.

It has been long enough from the last kuttari release that most people, me included, just assumed we weren’t getting anymore, so it was quite a surprise when the Pokemon Center suddenly brought this new set up, out of nowhere.
Kuttari Awake 1
Kuttari plush are released in sets, with each Pokemon having an awake version
Kuttari Sleep 1
And a sleeping version!
Kuttari Awake 2
This release featured the two Alolan starter Pokemon (Litten, who looks done with everything as usual, Popplio, and Rowlet)
Kuttari Sleep 2
Plus Alolan Vulpix and Dusk Lycanroc
Kuttari Awake 3
And two sort of unexpected choices: Wimpod and Buzzwole
Kuttari Sleep 3
Both of which have pretty adorable sleeping forms.

As mentioned, the Pokemon Yurutto gacha set also came out this past Saturday and included five figures: Pikachu, Dedenne, Ludicolo, Bewear, and Croagunk.
That wraps up this week’s Pokemon Center Report!

Hello everyone~
It’s the end of September so let’s talk about game center prizes coming out in October!
As a side note… the next time we do a Banpresto Prize Overview… it will be for prizes coming out when I’m in Japan?! How is my trip so soon! As always, I will be re-opening my pick-up service for while I’m in Japan and will be able to get prizes from November to January. There is also a chance I’ll be able to get stuff from October depending on availability. (Hype! Hype!) All prizes I get are picked up personally by me from game centers, making them extra special. (More hype!)
Okay okay moving on to the actual post
What is Banpresto?
Banpresto is a company that manufactures plush, figures, towels, glasses, and other items to be used as prizes for claw machines in game centers as well as kuji prizes. None of these items are designed to be sold directly through stores and cannot be found in Pokemon Centers. Note that the exception to this are Pokemon kujis, however even in this case, you have to win the prizes; you can’t buy the prize you want directly. Typically, you can find these prize items in game centers or sold second hand through auction sites, amazon, or other similar stores.
Most Pokemon releases from Banpresto drop on Tuesday or Thursday, with occasional releases on Friday. Ichiban Kuji generally goes on sale on Saturdays.
Some of the bigger name game centers in Japan include: Adores, Sega, Round 1, Namco, and Taito Station. Not all game center locations stock all prizes. If you’re having trouble finding stock of the item you’re looking for, feel free to send me a message!

A new series from Banpresto, “Pokemon Focus”, starts in October. The focus for the October release is “Regionals”.
Two large Raichu plush (Raichu and Alolan Raichu, each measuring about 23 cm) will start appearing in game centers October 18th (Thursday).
Two extra large Diglet plush (Diglet and Alolan Diglet, each measuring about 35 cm) will start appearing in game centers October 25th (Thursday).
Two large Vulpix plush (Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix, each measuring about 23 cm) will also start appearing in game centers October 25th (Thursday).
The “Pokemon Focus” theme for November and October will be “Legendary Pokemon” with Celebi, Victini, Jirachi, Mew, Manaphy, and Shaymin.
The “Pokemon Focus” theme for January (and maybe February?) will be “Gender” and I know the Nidorans will definitely have merchandise coming out then.

From the Pokemon Quest game series, an extra large cube cushion (measuring about 28 cm) featuring Pokemon faces on all sides will stat appearing in game centers October 11th (Thursday).
Mogu-Mogu Time (Snack Time) returns in October with a set of large plush (Dedenne and Gengar, each measuring about 2e cm) which will start appearing in game centers October 18th (Thursday).

The I Love Snorlax line returns in October with two releases.
A Snorlax die-cut blanket (measuring about 130 cm) will start appearing in game centers October 4th (Thursday).
An extra large Snorlax plush (measuring about 36 cm) will also start appearing in game centers October 4th (Thursday).

Last but not least! Girlish Pikachu also returns in October with two releases.
As can be assumed by the name, all the Pikachus in Girlish Pikachu are Girl(ish).
A set of two extra large Pikachu plush (each measuring about 24 cm) will start appearing in game centers October 11th (Thursday).
A set of three smaller mascot Pikachu plush (each measuring about 11 cm) will also start appearing in game centers October 11th (Thursday).
That wraps up the releases from Banpresto scheduled for October.
Until next time~
