Two quick words before I dive into this week’s Pokemon Center Report~
First off, big apologizes for the lack of updates lately! The blog is not ending, but two weeks in a row we didn’t get merchandise news from the main Pokemon website and then my main source for Pokemon Center photos was on holiday in the United States.
But we are back so I appreciate everyone’s patience.
Second – the official Zombie Miki store is back in business, with a new look and with more items!
Check it out here
I will be adding items in as quickly as I can. Most of these items are from my personal collection and were bought directly from the Pokemon Center in Tokyo over the course of 7 years. They’re all in near perfect if not perfect condition, but if you have any questions about an item, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me!
On that note, if you notice any issues with the cart or checking out, or if you have a question about shipping prices, also please let me know (you can send me a message through my contact page or send me a DM on Twitter). I am happy to offer discounted shipping for larger purchases 🙂
Also as mentioned, I am selling a good majority of my Pokemon merchandise collections, which includes some bigger items such as the New Years Fennekin sleeping plush, New Years Fennekin face cushion, and a complete set of the Monthly Pikachu collection. The Pokemon I collected over the years include: Fennekin, Meowstic, Litwick, Mew, Clefairy, Raichu, Dedenne, Holiday Pikachu, Sylveon, and Vulpix (Kanto & Alolan versions). If there is a specific item you are looking for, there is a good chance I have it and am selling it, so please ask me directly.

The release of the original 151 Kanto region Pokemon Fit plushies were a great success, but even I was still surprised when the Pokemon Center announced they would be continuing the Sitting Cuties series (the international release name) with all Pokemon featured in Gold & Silver… including every single Unown plus ! and ?
(Pictured here is M for Miki, of course)
Although I couldn’t take pictures of every Pokemon in the release, here are a few notable examples~
Pokemon Fit Gold Silver 1
I love this series so much mainly because the plush are all super soft and the perfect size.
Pictured here: Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Sentret, Furret (not to scale), Cleffa, Mareep, Flaaffy, and Ampharos (one of the most popular electric type Pokemon!)
Pokemon Fit Gold Silver 2
I didn’t realize until this release how many Johto region Pokemon I love, and the Pokemon Center did a great job converting everyone’s favorite Pokemon into a super adorable plush form.
I think they did an especially great job with Sudowoodo (which, by the way, is a play on words since he is psuedo-wood-o… in case you didn’t know!)
Also shout out to the second official Dunsparce plush – the first plush was released at Pokemon Centers in Japan in 2013.
Pictured here: Sudowoodo, Politoed, Espeon, Umbreon, Girafarig, Dunsparce, Delibird, Houndour, and Houndoom.
Pokemon Fit Gold Silver 3
Other notable plushies: Smeargle and Miltank (both very cute).
The three legendary beasts came out looking, for the most part, pretty good. My real question is… what animal do you think the beasts are? (I always saw them as dogs)
Pictured here: Stantler, Smeargle, Miltank, Blissey, Raikou, Entei, Suicune.
Pokemon Fit Plush Gold Silver 4
Last but not least – everyone’s favorite recently, most likely because of Pokemon Go: The Tar Family! Tyranitar was definitely one of the big sellers from the release, no joke.
Pictured here: Larvitar, Tyranitar, Lugia, Ho-oh, Celebi
What was your favorite plush, or plushes, from this release? What did you buy?

The Pokemon Center’s original finger puppet figure series returns May 25th (Saturday) with volume 4 including Sleeping Pikachu, Arcanine, Shelder, Omanyte, Togepi, Ampharos, Sudowoodo, Espeon, Umbreon, and Substitute Plush.
These figures are not blind packaged. Each figure costs 300 yen including tax.
Pokemon Fit / Sitting Cuties

Following the success of the initial Pokemon Fit release, which included plush versions of every single 151 Pokemon from generation 1, the Pokemon Center is continuing into the Johto region with plush versions of every single generation 2 Pokemon.
Pokemon Fit (or Sitting Cuties as named by the US Pokemon Center site) are smaller plush designed to Fit in your hand. They make a great addition to any collection, and the series has in a lot of cases created plush for Pokemon who up until now haven’t had official plush available or in other cases any official merchandise at all.
Each plush retails for 1,188 yen.
The list of plush in this release starts with Chikorita and ends with Celebi. It also includes every single Unown from A to Z plus ! ?

After a couple months of low key Banpresto releases, April starts the summer surge with a bunch of different releases and a lot of new plush!
What is Banpresto?
Banpresto is a company that manufactures plush, figures, towels, glasses, and other items to be used as prizes for claw machines in game centers as well as kuji prizes. None of these items are designed to be sold directly through stores and cannot be found in Pokemon Centers. Note that the exception to this are Pokemon kujis, however even in this case, you have to win the prizes; you can’t buy the prize you want directly. Typically, you can find these prize items in game centers or sold second hand through auction sites, amazon, or other similar stores.
Most Pokemon releases from Banpresto drop on Tuesday or Thursday, with occasional releases on Friday. Ichiban Kuji generally goes on sale on Saturdays.
Some of the bigger name game centers in Japan include: Adores, Sega, Round 1, Namco, and Taito Station. Keep in mind, not all game center locations stock all prizes.

Starting off with the generic Pokemon Sun & Moon line~
Plush Eevee tissue box cases (two versions: normal and smiling) will start appearing in game centers around Japan from April 4th (Thursday). Each plush measures about 27 cm from head to tail and has a strap so you can hang it if you want to keep tissues on a door, for example.
Large-size plush versions of Brionne and Nagisa (fancy Eevee currently starring in the most recent Pokemon Sun & Moon anime season) will start appearing in game centers around Japan from April 25th (Thursday). Each plush measures about 23 cm.

There will be two new XL size plush for April, both appearing in game centers around Japan from April 18th (Thursday).
Ditto measures about 40 cm and Snorlax measures about 36 cm.

From the adorable Mogu-Mogu (Snack) Time series comes two releases~
Large-size plush of Raichu and Pichu munching on berries will start appearing in game centers around Japan from April 11th (Thursday). Each plush measures about 23 cm.
Smaller plush versions of snacky Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander will start appearing in game centers around Japan from April 25th (Thursday). Each plush measures about 14 cm.

Last but not least! Three miscellaneous releases~
Kororin Friends returns with four new plush designed to fit in your hand! This release includes Pikachu, Lucario, Ampharos, and Psyduck, with each plush measuring about 9 cm. These buddies will start appearing in game centers from April 25th (Thursday).
The Korotto Manmaru Colors series continues with the color purple for April. This batch includes Espeon, Gengar, and Nidoran Male. Each plush measures about 22 cm and will start appearing in game centers around Japan from April 25th (Thursday).
Lastly, from the Hokkori Iyase (Warm & Healing) series, two new extra fuzzy plush! Psyduck and Slowpoke, both measuring about 27 cm, will start appearing in game centers around Japan from April 11th (Thursday).
That wraps up the Banpresto prize releases schedule for the month of April!
Until next time~
