Lots of announcements from today, so hold on to your butts and get ready for Pokemon merchandise!
The Alolan hype train continues with more Sun & Moon Pokemon Center exclusive plush! This next batch goes on sale at all Pokemon Centers and Stores across Japan on January 14th and will include Alolan Sandshrew, Alolan Ninetails, and Fomantis. Both Fomantis and Sandshrew will cost 1,620 yen after tax, while Ninetails will cost 2,160 yen.
Speaking of hype, get ready for a flood of Vulpix merchandise, starting with these adorable poncho Pikachus! This mini sized promotion is actually a part 2 to the Sapporo Center re-opening extravaganza but will focus exclusively on Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix.
Basically, this promotion is so adorable I can’t handle it, and also not something I was expecting! The promotion will go on sale at all Pokemon Centers and Stores across Japan starting February 1st, 2017.

This incredibly pink and cute spring themed promotion will be coming out exactly on New Years Day (January 1st 2017) in Japan, because why not brighten up the darker winter months with the thought of spring? If you love cute things, and grass types, and pink, this promotion was made for you!

New Years is just not Japanese enough without fukubukuro and as luck would have it, lucky bags are returning to the Pokemon Center for the second year in a row! These bags are sold around New Years Day with the contents usually being a mystery. Each bag is generally different in terms of content, making it even more exciting! Last year’s lucky bags sold out fairly quickly and I expect this year will sell out as well. Each bag is guaranteed to have 1 Sun & Moon starter mascot plush + mug cup set, although which one is included in your bag (if you buy one) is unfortunately random.
Each bag will cost 4,000 yen after tax and will go on sale January 1st at Mega Tokyo, Skytree, Tokyo Bay, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, and all Pokemon Store locations. Sapporo, Tohoku, Yokohama, Nagoya, Kyoto, and Osaka Pokemon Centers will have the bags on sale starting January 2nd.
If that wasn’t enough, we have one more announcement. If you love Pokeballs and were pining for a variety of every day use items with a Pokeball theme, your wish has been granted. This Pokeball promotion will go on sale at all Pokemon Centers and Stores around Japan starting January 7th!
