Hello everyone!

The weather is staying fairly nice in the Tokyo area, and for this I am forever grateful. If there’s anything I hate more than rain, humidity, and heat…well, actually there is a bunch of things I dislike but rain, humidity, and heat are up there.

This past Friday and Saturday (April 21st and 22nd) had two releases: two new booster packs and some TCG related merch on Friday and new Pokemon Center plush on Saturday.

Starting off with TCG. There were two booster packs that came out on Friday.

“Beyond New Challenges” is a holo only booster set, with each pack containing 5 random holo cards, including 1 energy card.

“The Best of XY” was basically a re-release of cards from the XY generation, with each pack containing 15 random cards, with 2 holo cards and 1 EX, Mega, or Break guaranteed per pack.

No card sleeves this time, but we got a battle set and a special card set featuring an Alolan Vulpix holo card that you can only get from buying the set.

Saturday’s release was fairly quiet, with the highlight being brand new Pokemon Center plush of the final evolution Sun & Moon starters.

Here we have Incineroar, the resident grumpy kitty.

An adorable water prince.

And everyone’s favorite sniper owl!

Of the three plush, both Primarina and Decidueye have wires in their arms so they can be posed, which is a neat touch.

All plush are made of minky so are the usual Pokemon Center softness.

There was also a quiet Takara Tomy release of a new shoulder Pikachu, wearing Ash’s hat from the Alolan region. This plush has clips on his front paws so he can be attached to your shoulder or a bag, or basically anything. It’s cute!

I’ll hopefully have a UFO Catcher Adventures report shortly so stay tuned.

Until next time!
