It’s April!

The two main releases at the Pokemon Center for today were new Pokedolls and the large size can badges for Johto region Pokemon. The Pokedolls were especially exciting since we’ve known about them since they were mistakenly announced back in December and now finally all the prematurely announced Pokedolls are out. The Tapu Lele metal charm also came out today, with the release being delayed for some unspecified reason.

(Now that all the known Pokedolls have been released, I wonder if they’ll continue giving us new dolls and what the next Pokemon will be?)

The brick and mortar Pokemon Centers seemed to be fairly quiet, at least in the morning. On-line was a different story with all three plush selling out fairly quickly, with Vulpix of course selling out first.

The new limit for now until who knows when for Amazon seems to be 5 per person. Pokemon Center is still for the most part at 10 per person, although again, for reasons I’ll never understand since the Pokemon Center works in mysterious ways, Tapu Lele was limited 5 per person.

The On-Line Center Store had some fairly big glitches going on with their new releases for today, however…

Usually new items are added to the store at 10 am on Saturday (or Friday, depending on the release date), coinciding with the official opening time for the brick and mortar Pokemon Centers. You can view these items by clicking the “New Item” tab or you can go to a specific Pokemon’s page, and the new items automatically show up at the very top of the page. However, 10 am rolled around and no matter how many times I refreshed, neither the Pokedolls nor can badges were appearing; I just kept seeing the Ditto items from last week. Finally, feeling very confused and worried Vulpix had sold out already, I started searching through the other pages for the “sold out” section and stumbled upon all the brand new items listed on page 5 after the Vulpix Hokkaido promotion items from the beginning of the year.

And to make things even more confusing, all the Pokedolls were listed on the very last page as the very last item on their respectively tagged pages, after all the sold out items. Further complicating things on top of this, you can see there is no “sold out” badge on the item, but it is, in fact, sold out. You can only see the sold out status by going to the individual item page.

So basically it was kind of a mess, and I wonder how many people missed out on their plush because they couldn’t find it before it sold out. I don’t really want to play hide and seek to get my stuff, especially when it’s a battle to see who is the fastest.

The Pokemon Center: adding unnecessary excitement to my life since this morning.

Until next time!
