This post will cover the Banpresto Pokemon prize releases for the month of June.
What is Banpresto?
Banpresto is a company that manufactures plush, figures, towels, glasses, and other items to be used as prizes for claw machines in game centers as well as kuji prizes. None of these items are designed to be sold directly through stores and cannot be found in Pokemon Centers. Typically, you can find these items in game centers or sold second hand through auction sites, amazon, or other similar stores.
Most Pokemon releases from Banpresto drop on Tuesday or Thursday, with occasional releases on Friday. Ichiban Kuji generally goes on sale on Saturdays.
Some of the bigger name game centers in Japan include: Adores, Sega, Round 1, Namco, and Taito Station. Not all game center locations stock all prizes. If you’re having trouble finding stock of the item you’re looking for, feel free to send me a message!
We’re officially into June and with the summer movie just around the corner, it’s no surprise that Pokemon summer movie themed merchandise would pop up.
June has three different releases from Banpresto.
Two larger size plush (28 cm) of Lugia and Pikachu will start appearing in game centers June 14th (Thursday).
A cute cold drink thermos + glass set will start appearing in game centers June 21st (Thursday). The thermos has Zeraora and Lugia while the glass has Eevee and Pikachu.
Three smaller sized (12 cm) plush, from the Korotto Manmaru series, will also start appearing in game centers June 21st (Thursday). The set includes Eevee, Pikachu, and Lugia.
From the general Pokemon Sun & Moon series!
A cute 30 cm Pikachu knapsack will start appearing exclusively in Namco game centers starting June 7th (Thursday).
Extra large Squirtle (35 cm) will start appearing in game centers June 19th (Tuesday).
What is summer without some summer themed Pikachu merchandise?
Extra large summer style Pikachu plush (35 cm) will start appearing in game centers June 7th (Thursday).
Two large summer style Pikachu plush (about 26 cm each) will also start appearing in game centers June 7th (Thursday).
Cooler tote-bags (perfect for keeping food safe for picnics) will start appearing in game centers June 14th (Thursday).
Last and not least, the Kutsurogi Time series returns with one release in June.
Large Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix plush (about 25 cm) will start appearing in game centers June 14th (Thursday).
