Friday’s announcements were both exciting and not so exciting.
Mentioned through Twitter but not on the official site was the announcement for the next Monthly Pikachu. June Pikachu is wearing a raincoat and carrying a tiny umbrella since June is typically rainy season in Japan. These Pikachus will come out in Pokemon Centers from May 16th.
Next up, a new promotion centering on the XY female protagonist and the Battle Maison battle leaders will also be coming out on May 16th. So far, we don’t know anything about what sort of merchandise will be included, but we have some great promotional art for it.
Last but not least, a brand new Pokemon Center will be opening in Hiroshima sometime over the summer of 2015. Looking forward to shiny Gyarados merchandise, considering he is part of the logo!
