Hey everyone!
We’re back~~~~
The Pokemon Center staff decided to take a two week extended vacation around the New Years so we didn’t get any updates the Friday before New Years and we didn’t get anything the Friday after.
To be honest, tonight’s updates weren’t that exciting considering it was only Rainbow Rocket stuff that we already mostly knew about. But! Better than nothing and we do have a couple interesting tidbits so hold on to your hats.
…but first, a word from the management!
I’m currently hosting a little Pre-Valentine’s Day give away for the super adorable Pikachu Pair Plush that comes out tomorrow (Saturday January 13th).
To enter, simply follow my Twitter account (@zombiemiki) and retweet this tweet~
Entrees are welcome world-wide. Good luck to everyone!
Rainbow Rocket Takeover!
The Pokemon Bosses will be taking over the Pokemon Centers in Japan starting January 20th. This take-over extends to the on-line store as well, where the site will get a little make-over to be darker and more Bossier, until March when the campaign officially ends.
As part of the take-over, there will of course be a merch promotion that will also start January 20th (Saturday). This promo is comprised of two parts: Secret Teams and Boss Pikachu.
As part of the Boss Pikachu side, we’re getting 7 Pikachu plush dressed as the 7 main bosses from across 7 generations of Pokemon: Giovanni, Maxie, Archie, Cyrus, Ghetsis, Lysandre, and Guzma.
Each plush will cost 2,160 yen after tax.
There will also be new legendary Pokemon (and Golisopod) plush!
Although they look sort of like Pokedolls, they’re not part of the Pokedoll line.
This release will include: Mewtwo, Groudon, Kyogre, Dialga, Palkia, Reshiram, Zekrom, Yveltal, Xerneas, and as mentioned, Goliosopod.
Each plush will cost 2,484 yen after tax.
As part of the Boss Pikachu line, we’ll also get…
Boss Pikachu
Acrylic Clip Set – 972 yen
Sticker Assortment – 540 yen
Socks – 3 pairs for 1,080 yen
A4 Clearfile – 259 yen
Boss Pikachu Bonus
There will be a Boss Pikachu gacha with 7 figures (no secrets).
As usual, 1 play will be 300 yen.
Because the Pokemon Center loves blind packaged stuff, there will also be blind packaged ramune candy tins, with 7 possible designs. Each tin costs 410 yen after tax.
From Secret Teams…
Secret Teams
Knapsack – 9,180 yen
Totebag w/ 7 Boss Badges – 5,292 yen
Card Sleeves (7 designs) – 777 yen each
Pass Case – 1,620 yen
Set of 7 Clearfiles w/ Case – 1,836 yen
Rubber Charm Collection (Random – 7 designs total) – 648 yen each
Sticker Sets (7 sets / each set comes with 3 stickers) – 432 yen each
Stainless Steel Tumbler – 1,620 yen
Secret Teams Necklace
A collection of 7 necklaces from the 5108 line will also be part of the Secret Teams release, with 1 necklace per Evil Team.
Each necklace will cost 4,104 yen after tax.
Secret Teams Tshirts
There will also be super fancy t-shirts! Each t-shirt comes with a matching Evil Team pin badge.
Like everything in this promotion, there will be 7 designs in total. Each shirt will be available in medium and large and will cost 5,400 yen after tax.
Additional items include…
Secret Boss
Secret Teams Flip Phone Case (fits phones that are up to 140 mm long x 70 mm wide x 10 mm thick) – 3,240 yen
Boss Pikachu Soft iPhone Case (iPhone 8 / 7 / 6s / 6) – 2,030 yen
Frixion Ball 3 Pen (Secret Teams / Boss Pikachu) – 972 yen each
Last but not least, there will be three main merchandise related campaigns that will start from January 20th.
Customers on the Pokemon Center On-Line Store who complete all four missions on the on-line store will be entered into a raffle to win an original customizable card case.
The case comes with 7 badges, 1 for each team, so you can decorate your case with whichever team holds your heart (and your soul).
There will be 50 winners for this magnificent prize.
Campaign 2! Starting from January 20th, Pokemon Center On-Line orders will be shipped in special Rainbow Rocket boxes.
Campaign 3.A! For every 2,000 yen spent at any Pokemon Center or Store, including the on-line Store, customers will receive 1 of 7 Boss Pikachu cards.
Campaign 3.B! Customers at Pokemon Centers or Store who purchase 5 packs of TCG cards will receive an original Boss Pikachu promo card of their choosing. This campaign is available on-line as well.
All of these campaigns will run into March 11th or until supplies run out in some cases.
That wraps up Friday’s Pokemon Center announcements!
For those who don’t live in Japan, everything from the Rainbow Rocket promotion can be found on Japanstuffs.com. We ship worldwide and every order comes with an original Miki designed sticker!
Thanks for sticking around and stay tuned for more merch and madness.
If I’m going to buy a booster box with 10 packs (Shining Legends or GX Battle Boost) am I going to receive 2 Boss Pikachu Promo cards plus another 2 for shelling out ¥4000 for the price of the booster box? Because the condition said for every 5 packs and ¥2000 worth of purchase. I’m getting obsessed since I want to collect all so badly.
The promo cards and the message cards are different. You’ll receive 1 TCG boss promo card of your choosing for every 5 booster packs. If 1 box has 10 packs, then you’ll get 2 promo cards.
The message cards are random and you get 1 per every 2000 yen spent while supplies last, so for spending 4000 yen, you would get 2 random message cards. These are not the promo TCG cards.
Sorry about the confusion!
