The month of semi boring August starts off with a hiccup.

Hoenn Badges

Can badges return to the Pokemon Center, with a Hoenn spin. These badges are separated into two batches, with a different set of people characters and their companion Pokemon in each batch. They will cost about 300 yen each, which makes me think they will be gacha prizes, but there is a small chance they’ll be blind packaged. Either way, you can’t choose which badge you get because that’s the Pokemon Center for you.

These badges will go on sale at all Pokemon Centers and Stores in Japan starting August 19th (Saturday).

On the heels of last week’s Sapporo Fighter’s collaboration, we have another sports collaboration in the works, this time with the Yokohama DeNA Baystars. This promotion will go on sale starting August 11th (Friday) and will be sold exclusively through the Yokohama Pokemon Center, the Pokemon Center On-Line Store, and the official DeNA Baystars stores.
