First off, I’m sorry for the radio silence aside from the Friday Pokemon Announcements. Between New Years releases and Pikachu’s Sweet Treats last week, along with making sure all orders were shipped out before I left and packing my stuff, life was a bit hectic. Then I ended up flying home on quite possibly one of the worst days to travel and it’s a miracle I escaped from the Atlanta airport and wasn’t trapped there for the night. But here I am!
Although my Japan Pick-Up service is temporarily closed for the moment, fear not! If you want to purchase items from Japan, head over to Japan Stuffs.
Also, I currently have a backlog of Pokemon Center Report posts. I’ll be uploading those sometime over the next week or two.
Moving on to the Friday announcements!
The Giovanni Nendoroid was officially announced on Friday, and pre-orders for the figure started January 17th at 2 pm. The pre-order period will end February 28th (Wednesday) at 9 pm JP time, with orders shipping out sometime in August, 2018. The figure costs 5,400 yen after tax.
Giovanni comes with 3 face plates: normal, shadowy, and “realistic”, along with 2 pocket marks so you can change him between being the leader of Team Rocket and Rainbow Rocket.
Giovanni also comes with a companion Pokemon: Mewtwo. Mewtwo comes with a “psycho break” effect part and an extra arm so he can hold it.
As with most if not all Nendoroids, customers who order through either Goodsmile or the Pokemon Center will receive a bonus item.
Pokemon Center orders come with a bonus Ultra Ball.
Goodsmile orders come with a bonus Rainbow Rocket figure base.
Pikachu’s Closet returns with two new outfits for the dress-up Pikachu plush. Both clothing sets will go on sale at all Pokemon Centers and Stores in Japan starting January 27th (Saturday).
A Biker clothing set that comes with a mini leather jacket and white t-shirt with printed sunglasses will sell for 3,780 yen after tax.
A Hoodie clothing set (with a winter theme) that includes an adorable hoodie and ski hat will sell for 3,456 yen after tax.
Last but not least, a cute Pikachu themed set of living and dining related merchandise, appropriately named “Pikachu Living & Dining” will go on sale at all Pokemon Centers and Stores in Japan starting January 27th (Saturday).
