Pokemon gave us a couple exciting up-coming merch announcements this past Friday!
First up, the very popular Ditto Transform! series returns August 6th with a new batch of derpy looking plush. This newest set (third in the series) will include Pichu, Espeon, Umbreon, Raichu, and Vulpix (or at least Dittos pretending to be them).
As with previous releases, there will be a normal plush version and a smaller mascot plush version of each Pokemon. Normal size plush will retail for 1,296 yen and mascot size plush will retail for 864 yen each.
In honor of the 1st year anniversary of the Hiroshima Pokemon Center, Magikarp x Hiroshima Toyo Carp baseball team collaboration items will be sold exclusively at the Hiroshima Center starting August 5th.

Gotochi or regional items are small items (usually phone charms, hand towels, magnets, among others) of famous characters with a representation of the local area to that item. The items are usually exclusive to specific areas, giving an incentive to travel, and make nice souvenirs! Pokemon has decided to expand their current line of gotochi goods to include a mini series: Pokétabi. The name is a combination of “Pokemon” and “tabi” (travel) and will include a variety of items with different designs depending on the region.
At this time, aside from the clearfiles pictured above, we only have designs for Tokyo, but I’m sure we will get more information soon with items from other areas of Japan.
These items will start to go on sale at souvenir stores, train stations, and other shops that deal with souvenir goods starting around the end of July.
