On Saturday, January 30th, a limited time event called “Pokemon Forever” (Zu~tto Pokemon) started at four Kiddyland locations around Japan, including the Harajuku store in Tokyo.

As part of the event, Kiddyland has the up-coming second batch of All-Star plush (Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Mew) as well as the larger Pikachu plush for sale earlier than the official release date, along with brand new Sepia Graffiti items. The two large sized plush cushions (Ditto and Snorlax) will also be available starting from February 13th.

Entering Kiddyland, the first thing you see is the main Pokemon plush display, featuring the complete All-Star original line-up (including Espurr!) and the second batch of All-Star plush. Hanging overhead are blown up prints from the Sepia series.

The other side of the display has a section devoted to both sizes of Pikachu plush

And even a small section for PokeKyun cards.

As part of the event, customers will receive either a Pokeball or Pikachu tail design can badge if they spend 2,000 yen or more on Pokemon related merchandise. (Pokeball design starts from January 30th, Pikachu Tail design starts from February 13th).

I originally visited on Sunday. When I returned today (Tuesday) all the plush were still in stock.

For those unfamiliar with the All-Star line-up, it’s a series of plush produced by the Sanei Boueki company. Sanei is most famous for their higher quality plush, and the All-Star series is their first contribution to the Pokemon brand.

The original line-up was released in the beginning of December and included 15 plush: Lucario

Dedenne, and Espurr! Espurr ended up being one of the hardest plush to find out of the entire set when it was originally released, mainly because for reasons I don’t understand Pokemon Centers refused to carry it, and it was also the only plush listed on Amazon with a release date set to May, 2016.

I thought the pre-release of the new All-Star plush was limited to Kiddyland, but the Pokemon Center is carrying them as well.

As previously mentioned, the second batch includes Squirtle

And Mew! Out of the four plush, Mew is my favorite, and I spent a little bit of time combing through all the Mews at Kiddyland in order to find the most perfect one (pictured).

All the All-Star plush come with this tag that includes the name of the series as well as a cute little illustration.
