I will be back in Tokyo near the end of November and will be re-opening my pick-up service for game center prizes, including Banpresto, as well as for the Pokemon Center and other pick-ups by request. I should be able to get most if not all of the prizes listed in this update, as I don’t see any of them selling out quickly. I will be putting up pages with items and prices, but if there is already items you know you want, feel free to get in touch with me (via my website | via Twitter).
What is Banpresto?
Banpresto is a company that manufactures plush, figures, towels, glasses, and other items to be used as prizes for claw machines in game centers as well as kuji prizes. None of these items are designed to be sold directly through stores and cannot be found in Pokemon Centers. Note that the exception to this are Pokemon kujis, however even in this case, you have to win the prizes; you can’t buy the prize you want directly. Typically, you can find these prize items in game centers or sold second hand through auction sites, amazon, or other similar stores.
Most Pokemon releases from Banpresto drop on Tuesday or Thursday, with occasional releases on Friday. Ichiban Kuji generally goes on sale on Saturdays.
Some of the bigger name game centers in Japan include: Adores, Sega, Round 1, Namco, and Taito Station. Not all game center locations stock all prizes. If you’re having trouble finding stock of the item you’re looking for, feel free to send me a message!
The Pokemon Focus series continues into October, as promised, with the start of the “Legendaries” sub-series.
Extra large size Mew (about 40 cm) will start appearing in game centers around Japan from November 27th (Tuesday).
Larger plush versions of Victini, Jirachi, and Celebi (about 30 cm each) will start appearing in game centers around Japan from November 15th (Thursday).
Two mini releases from the general Pokemon Sun & Moon line, called Poke-Gyutto (Poke-Squeeze) and Poke-Dakko (Poke-Carry Me), will start appearing in game centers from November 8th (Thursday).
Both sets of plush include Eevee and Psyduck, with each plush measuring about 24 cm.
From the Girlish Pikachu series, two larger sized Pikachu face cushions (each about 35 cm) will start appearing in game centers from November 3rd (Saturday).
From the general Pokemon Sun & Moon series, an extra large sized Larvitar plush (about 35 cm) will start appearing in game centers from November 8th (Thursday).
From the Mogu-Mogu Time (Snack Time) series, large plush versions of Snorlax and Slowpoke (about 27 cm each) will start appearing in game centers from November 22nd (Thursday).
That wraps up next month’s Bapresto overview!

Yokohama Pokemon Center Renewal
Before we dive into this week’s Pokemon Center Report, I have a quick announcement.
I finally have my Halloween stickers in hand! There are five new designs for this year including: Umbreon, Houndour, Chandelure/Litwick, Spinda, and Baby Trick-or-Treaters (Riolu, Happiny, and Cleffa)
Stickers can be ordered directly from my on-line store: mikitzune.com/store
This week’s Pokemon Center Report combines two weekends into one, with volume 2 of the Poke-Maniac plush that came out October 20th and Fuwa-Fuwa Paradise (Fluffy Paradise) with two parts: most items were released October 13th with the plush, tissue box covers, and slippers released October 20th.
The first volume from the Poke-Maniac (Kaiju Mania) series did so well that the Pokemon Center continued with a Volume 2 which, as mentioned, went on sale at all Pokemon Centers & Stores around Japan October 20th.
This set featured Pikachu dressed as Garchomp, Ampharos, and Snorlax (because lately Snorlax is in every release).
I personally love this series and think all three plush came out super adorable! I extra love angry Pikachu.
Next up: Fuwa-Fuwa Paradise part 1! Which went on sale at all Pokemon Centers & Stores around Japan October 13th.
The majority of items from the Fluffy Paradise promotion went on sale during this initial release.
Merch line-up included: plates, placemats, postcards, plush pouches, hand towels, extra soft ponchos and super adorable scarves, among other odds and ends.
Part 2 to the Fluffy Paradise series went on sale at all Pokemon Centers & Stores October 20th and included the remaining merch: plush, tissue box covers, and slippers.
The Pokemon included in the plush release were: Pikachu, Eevee, Mareep, Flaaffy, Whimsicott, Arcanine, and Altaria.
Both the slippers and the tissue box covers were available in Eevee and Mareep designs only.
Mareep ended up being the big seller for this release and quickly sold out at several Pokemon Center locations fairly quickly, but is it surprising? He is both adorable and soft!
As an aside, the human sized versions of the Pikachu and Eevee ponchos from the Pikachu & Eevee Fan promotion were released October 13th.
That wraps up this week’s Pokemon Center Report!
Until next time~

It’s Friday which means it’s that time of the week when we get news on up-coming Pokemon merchandise and other fun stuff.
Remember back in June when the Pokemon Center announced a new series of Pikachu & Eevee pair plush, called Seasons Pikachu & Eevee? And how the series would have four plush in total, one for every season?
Yeah, I totally forgot about it, oops Well, it’s back with an autumn version!

An official Pokemon Center will be opening outside of Japan in the Jewel Changi Airport (Jewel) in Singapore.
Logo artwork has been released, along with a main promotional illustration, indicating there will be a grand-opening merchandise promotion.
Aside from “opening 2019”, at this point we don’t have any other information, but I will of course report on anything that comes out as I hear it.
Closing us out, this smaller Magikarp mascot plush was released on the 10th to no fanfare.
You can pull the Magikarp away from the pokeball and he’ll shake and vibrate!
Want this little guy? You can order him through Japanstuffs.com!
That wraps up this week’s Pokemon Center announcements.
