The official Banpresto site updated with a list of prizes and dates for April! This post will cover everything coming out, along with the prizes for the Ichiban-Kuji [Pikachu & Friends Happy Beach Time] going on sale April 1st.
There will be three large size plush coming out in April from the general Pokemon Sun & Moon line-up.
These plush will be roughly 24 cm each, or a little over 9 inches.
Komala will be released in Game Centers starting from April 6th (Thursday).
Both Vulpix and Alola Vulpix will be released in Game Centers starting from April 25th (Tuesday).
The I Love Eevee series makes a come-back in April, with a new line-up of large size plush and 1 extra large size Eevee.
Eevee measures in at about 30 cm or roughly a foot, while the other Eeveelutions will be about 25 cm each, or close to 10 inches.
Sylveon and Vaporeon will start appearing in Game Centers from April 6th (Thursday).
Vaporeon and Flareon will start appearing in Game Centers from April 20th (Thursday).
Extra Large Eevee will start appearing in Game Centers from April 25th (Tuesday).
The rest of the Eeveelutions should be available in Game Centers in May, but for now, information coming soon.
The Kutsurogi Time (Relax Time) series also makes a comeback in April with some cute sleepy time plush versions of everyone’s favorite Gen 1 starters (and Pikachu).
The normal size plush will all be roughly 13 cm or 5 inches, while the big sized Pikachu will be 26 cm or 10 inches.
All the Kutsurogi Time plush will start appearing in Game Centers from April 25th (Tuesday).
April will feature one release from the Kororin Friends series.
Both Mew and Mewtwo are part of the Larger Size line-up of Kororin Friends, with each measuring about 26 cm or 10 inches.
These plush are usually super cute because of the roundness and a nice size to hug!
They will start appearing in Game Centers from April 13th (Thursday).
These cute mascot plush sized pokeballs will be available in Namco Game Centers only starting April 25th (Tuesday)!
That wraps up the Banpresto prize releases for April.
Moving on…there will be a new Pokemon Ichiban-Kuji coming out April 1st (no joke!) The entire kuji has a beach theme to it, and the prizes reflect this.
This is the first big kuji to have new generation 7 Pokemon, including Alola Vulpix and Mimikyu.
Each kuji pull will cost the usual 620 yen, and it will be available at game centers, hobby shops, Animate, Tsutaya, book stores, and the Pokemon Center (among some other places). I have a feeling this kuji will be popular, so if you’re planning to play yourself in person, get there early!
Tonight’s update was fairly uneventful. However, with that said, the official Japanese On-line Pokemon Center store will be celebrating it’s 1st year anniversary with a bunch of sales and campaigns!
The campaign will start from February 16th (Thursday), 2017 at 10:00 am.
At this point, 5 special deals and campaigns have been announced.
First up, there will be a 4 day sale exclusively on the Japan Pokemon Center On-line store, from February 16th (Thursday) until February 19th (Sunday). During this time a bunch of special sets will be sold at 50% off each, with each day featuring different items.
Thursday the 16th will have four sets on sale: a Pokeball set, 2 TCG sets, and a play mat.
Friday and Saturday will have one set each day (Villains set and Pokemon Time set) while Sunday will have 2 special sets (Varsity Pikachu and Spring Time sets).
All items and sets will go on sale from 10:00 am JP time and will only be available as long as supplies last.
Number 2: On-line Exclusive Items!
The Lapras plush is an enlarged version of the previously released Pokemon Center exclusive plush, measuring in at around 3 feet and weighing 5 pounds.
The Red Nendoroid set is a re-release, so if you missed out the first time, now is your chance!
Number 3: Raffle Items!
Japan Pokemon Center On-line members will be able to enter to win previously released exclusive items from the account page on the On-Line store site starting February 16th, 2017. Since the official page hasn’t opened yet, I’m not sure if these are the only four items being raffled off or if there will be other items.
Note that even if you win, you do not receive these items for free, and the only payment method is Cash On Delivery.
Number 4: More Exclusive Items!
Both the Sapporo Exclusive Pikachu Snow Plush and a double pack of Pokemon Sun & Moon will be sold in limited quantities exclusively on the Japan Pokemon Center On-line web store.
Number 5: Presents!
It’s not a Pokemon Center promotion without some sort of special campaign present. These three poster designs will be given out to all on-line center store customers for every 4,000 yen spent between February 16th (Thursday) until April 7th (Friday) or while supplies last. Each design will be distributed during the times specified in the photo.
And that concludes tonight’s announcements! Until next time~

Check out my page if you haven’t already 🙂
This past weekend was fairly quiet release wise, but a new booster pack dropped on Friday, January 27th, and as with most booster pack releases, a bunch of other TCG related merch also came out on the same day.
First up, the booster packs themselves! This set contains only holo cards, and the price per pack reflects this, with each pack costing roughly 250 yen.
A couple special card sets were also released, including a set featuring Turtonator
and one featuring Rockruff. Along with the featured cards, each set comes with two packs of Sun & Moon booster cards.
There were also three other special card sets featuring Primarina, Incineroar, and Decidueye promotion cards. Those sets were slightly more expensive and also included more booster packs.
Friday also gave us re-releases of the 5 most popular card sleeve designs from Pokemon TCG’s past catalog of card sleeves. These designs were chosen by a vote. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t mildly salty that Steven ended up with two designs out of the 5, especially considering how many illustrations have been released with some really amazing art. But to each their own.
The Chandelure sleeves are one of my favorites
As are the Powerpuff Girl-esque Eeveelutions.
On a parting note, it’s almost February and that means Valentine’s Day is approaching!
Along with my usual commissions, I am offering two types of Valentine’s Day related commissions.
If interested, contact me via the form on this site, send an email to mikitzune (at) gmail (dot) com, or get in touch with me on Twitter @zombiemiki.
Until next time!
We are finally back with the weekly Friday Pokemon Announcements!
And something I haven’t mentioned in a while…TCG~
The next booster set “Pokemon Sun & Moon (SM1+) is scheduled to drop January 27th. Note that this set is Sun & Moon unlike the last two booster packs that were two mini sets (Sun and Moon). All the cards in the Sun & Moon set are holos and the price reflects it, with 1 pack costing about 250 yen after tax. Each pack contains 5 holo cards, including 1 energy card.
One of the best cards from the set (in my opinion) is this amazing Sylveon GX. I doubt I’ll get it but it’s still lovely <3
Along with the booster packs themselves, there will be five Special Sets that go on sale on January 27th.
These first three sets include 2 Sun & Moon booster packs, 1 Sun booster pack, 1 Moon booster pack, and 1 promo card (Primarina, Decidueye, or Incineroar).
Each set costs 875 yen after tax.
These two sets, featuring Rockruff and Turtonator, will also be available from January 27th.
Unlike the final evolution starter sets, the Rockruff and Turtonator sets only come with 2 Sun & Moon booster packs each, and the price reflects it, with each set costing 550 yen after tax.
What is a booster pack release date without card sleeves? These five designs were voted for re-release and each design will be sold as a full deck containing 64 sleeves per pack. If you missed out the first time these sleeves went on sale, you have a second chance to get them, so don’t delay! Pre-order today!
The five designs are: Subway Masters, Steven w/Metagross, Champion Steven, Chandelure, and Eeveelutions.
Each pack will cost 896 yen after tax.
Moving on from card games… socks! These cute Valentine’s Day themed socks are already on sale at Pokemon Centers in Japan and cost 410 yen each after tax.
Campaign information! The Sapporo Center Re-opening celebration continues starting February 1st. Along with the Vulpix Poncho promotion, customers to Pokemon Centers and Stores in Japan will receive 1 of 4 art cards simply for visiting, with 1 random card being given to each customer per visit while supplies last.
Along with the cards, 1 of 5 coasters will be given out randomly to customers for every 2,000 yen spent at any Pokemon Center or Store around Japan. The designs are all really cute, so I’m hoping to get at least a couple to add to my Snowpix collection!
Ending on a non announcement note but still exciting: these phone cases were added to the Amazon store at midnight Japan time tonight and will be going on sale tomorrow (Saturday January 14th). The three designs will be available for iPhone 6/6s and 7 and are freaking adorable. (Get them here if you love them!)
Until next time ~
