It’s already almost September?! I swear only yesterday it was the beginning of August!
Two new extra large plush will come out in September!
Ditto-chu (35 cm / 13.5 in) will start appearing in game centers from September 7th (Thursday).
Mimikyu (28 cm / 11 in) will start appearing in game centers from September 21st (Thursday).
From the general Pokemon Sun & Moon line-up, there will be one set of large plush and one set of smaller plush.
Measuring at around 12 cm each (4.5 in), Meowth, Bewear, and Mimikyu will start appearing in game centers from September 21st (Thursday).
Measuring at around 20 cm each (7.8 in), Cosmog and too adorable for this world Rowlet will also start appearing in game centers from September 21st (Thursday).
There will be two separate releases from the Kororin Friends series in September.
The first release features a selection of water and normal types.
Large size Snorlax (26 cm / 10 in) will start appearing in game centers from September 12th (Tuesday).
Smaller sized Psyduck, Slowpoke, and Munchlax (12 cm / 4.7 in) will start appearing in game centers from September 14th (Thursday).
The second Kororin batch is all dragon types!
Larger sized Dragonite (26 cm / 10 in) will start appearing in game centers from September 26th (Tuesday).
Smaller sized Axew, Hydreigon, and Garchomp (12 cm / 4.7 in) will also start appearing in game centers from September 26th (Tuesday).
Last and certainly not least, we conclude the summer with more plush from the Pikachu Mania! series.
Large size baby-doll eyes Pikachu plush (24 cm / 9.5 in) will start appearing in game centers from September 7th (Thursday).
From the Korotto Manmaur series, smaller sized Pikachus (12 cm / 4.7 in) in 5 different poses will also start appearing in game centers from September 7th (Thursday).
That wraps up the Banpresto releases for September!
Stay tuned for the return of Eeveelutions starting in October (the best month! Hint: my birthday is at the end of it!)
This past Friday (August 18th), there were no merchandise announcements, and the only release for Saturday (August 19th) was the blind-packaged Hoenn region can badges.
But! This year’s Dot Sprite promotion was released last Wednesday (August 16th), along with a couple random items.
There were no plush or cushions with this year’s release, but there were hand towels! Pictured here are two of the three designs (the third was dot sprite style pokeballs).
It’s not a Pokemon Center promotion without clearfiles, and this release featured three designs, each with multiple pockets!
There were two memo pads in cute boxes (one design with just Pikachu and one with the main group illustration) and an unboxed pad of sticky notes.
If notebooks are more your style, there were two Pokeball die-cut notebooks.
One of the cutest items from the merch list was this set of three clear pouches. Use them together or separately (or keep them minty fresh and safe in your collection!)
Coinciding with the opening of the very limited Isetan x Pokemon store, available exclusively at the main Shinjuku Isetan building (which includes a super cute cafe with Pokemon themed food and drink), an Isetan themed Pikachu plush was also released at Pokemon Centers on the 16th.
Last but not least, this rather unique “multi-ring” for smartphones was released recently as well. Available in three designs (Alola Vulpix, Snorlax, and Eeveelution), you can attach this ring to the back of your phone and use it to…I’m not exactly sure. Hold it better? Attach it to things? Clip it to a string and swing it around your head like a deadly Pokemon themed projectile? Whatever your heart desires I guess!
