The usual Friday Pokemon Announcements actually came out on Thursday as Friday (August 11th) was a public holiday in Japan (Mountain Day, for the curious cats out there).
I so naively thought August would be slow and boring merchandise wise. So of course the Pokemon Center pulled a “hold my beer” on me by giving us the return of the Eeveelutions with Eevee Collection: The Return of The End (I’m joking – this release shouldn’t be so bloodthirsty), set to go on sale at all Pokemon Centers and Stores in Japan starting August 26th (Saturday).
The main items from this release is once again the plush; this time we get larger cushion type plushies, all in adorable sleeping poses.
Each plush will cost 4,104 yen after tax, and look incredibly soft so perfect cuddle buddies.
The following Eeveelution themed items will also go on sale alongside the plush:
(Not Pictured) A4 Clearfiles (Eevee / Flareon / Jolteon / Vaporeon / Espeon / Umbreon / Leafeon / Glaceon / Sylveon) – 260 yen each
Campus Notebook Set of 5 Books (A / B) – 800 yen each
Campus Notebook Set of 3 Mini Books ( A / B / C) – 486 yen each
Bic Ballpoint Pens (Eevee / Flareon / Jolteon / Vaporeon / Espeon / Umbreon / Leafeon / Glaceon / Sylveon) – 324 yen each
Hand Towel – 1,404 yen
Mini Plates (Eevee / Flareon / Jolteon / Vaporeon / Espeon / Umbreon / Leafeon / Glaceon / Sylveon) – 756 yen each
And yes, you read all of that correctly: there are no blind packaged items in this release. And the peasants rejoiced!
It only took forever but the Pokemon Center is finally cashing in on plush they can dress-up, specifically Pikachu, because of course.
For this August 26th (Saturday) release, we’ll get the base naked Pikachu plush and two clothing sets. Clothing and Pikachu plush are of course sold separately.
The Pikachu plush will cost 3,780 yen after tax.
The Pajama Set of clothes will cost 3,456 after tax, and the Artist/Autumn Set of clothes will cost 4,104 yen after tax.
Expect more clothes in the future!
Last and certainly not least, a collaboration between Pokemon and the high-class Isetan department store was announced.
There is going to be a special Pokemon Store set-up in the main Shinjuku Isetan location from August 16th (Wednesday) until August 21st (Monday). (See this website for more information – note: Japanese only) There will be a special cafe with Pokemon themed foods and a variety of items on sale that will only be available through Isetan, including bags and pouches, jewelry and accessories, and stationary, among other items.
To celebrate, two items will also go on sale through Pokemon Centers and the On-Line Pokemon Center store (in this case, Pokemon Stores will not receive these items).
A Pikachu plush carrying a paper Isetan shopping bag and wearing a dot sprite scarf featuring original Pokemon artwork that includes an Isetan department store, will go on sale at all Pokemon Centers, the On-Line Center, the Isetan Pokemon store, and the Isetan on-line store from August 16th (Wednesday). Each plush will cost 2,160 yen after tax.
An adult sized version of the Isetan x Pokemon dot sprite scarf will be available for pre-order starting August 16th (Wednesday) from the On-Line Pokemon Center Store, the Isetan Pokemon store, and the Isetan on-line store, with a release date set for end of August. The scarves will cost 21,600 yen each after tax.
That wraps up the main Pokemon Center merchandise news from Thursday!
Are you excited for more Eevees? Which plush are you going to get? (All of them?!)
The last of three May 20th releases – the Pokemon Line Art Promotion.
This is not the first line-art promotion, but I feel like both were easily overlooked because there were no plush and when you get down to it, it’s all stock art but in lined form.
With that said, I still find this series to feature plenty of neat looking items so it’s kind of a shame it’s not more popular. Also, this is a good way to get merchandise with your favorite Pokemon on it if it’s not one of the more popular ‘mons as each item includes so many.
Don’t like white? No problem! A lot of the items included in the line-up had a black background counterpart.
The line-up of merch featured a ton of items for everyone’s every day life style, like train pass cases and two types of phone cases: a hard shell type for iPhone7 and a flip-case type designed to fit a variety of medium sized phones.
There were also a couple different size pouches.
Pens and sketchbooks for the more artistically inclined.
And duffel bags and backpacks, so you can show off your love for Pokemon while also being fashionable!
My favorite item from the entire promotion were the stickers. This pack of die-cut stickers contains a different combination of Pokemon per pack and are made of a neat sort of cloth-like material that shimmers in the light (I did my best to show off the shimmery effect!)
I can’t end this blog post without mentioning the tag art. Pretty snazzy, right? I love it!
That wraps up the final May 20th Pokemon Center Report post.
Tonight’s updates were a little quiet, which I was happy for. Sometimes it’s nice to get a break but still have something exciting!

We went into this weekend thinking there wouldn’t be any releases aside from the Anker collaboration Pokeball and Pikachu themed portable phone chargers, and the Center decided to surprise us with some unannounced merch: charms and socks!
The socks are typical Pokemon Center socks, with the usual deal of get three pairs for 1,080 yen (including tax).
The non Eeveelution socks are all basically stock art, which means they look a little derpy, although still cute! This release includes: Rowlet, Litten, Popplio, Mimikyu, Bewear, Alola Raichu, and Alola Vulpix.
There was also three non-stock socks: Pikachu’s face, Mareanie, and Pyukumuku.
And of course not forgetting the line-up of Eeveelution socks, which are all adorable and feature the Pokedoll graphics from the Colorful Eevee collection.
I was really excited for the bell charms when I saw images of them. Pokemon Center bell charms are one of my favorite non-promo product because they’re so cute and tiny and round and adorable! I call them bell charms because each charm is a little bell. The line-up this time includes: Pikachu (as always), Litten, Rowlet, Popplio, Mimikyu, Bewear, Cosmog, and a pokeball.
I really hope they give us more bell charms in the near future, especially Alola Vulpix!
We also got a full set of Pikachu alphabet keychains, with one letter of the alphabet per charm.
