Pokemon Center Report – Pokemon Dessert Plate

Pokemon Center Report – Pokemon Dessert Plate

It’s so weird to have only one release per day after this pretty busy summer, but once again we have one major release for this past Saturday: Pokemon Dessert Plate!

The theme for this promotion was, unsurprisingly, sweets and Pokemon, and everything was beyond adorable.

Unlike a lot of Pokemon Center promotions, this one had a bunch of highlights so let’s go through them one by one.

First up: mascot plush!

These plush were actually described in the original Pokemon Center announcement as “Marzipan Mascot Plush”. I’m not sure what about them looks like marzipan but that’s not important. The charm point? How grumpy all these plush look. For supposedly being a cute and sweet promotion, everyone for the most part looks done with life. Charizard is my favorite.

Next: blind packaged figures! I love the tiny Pokemon Center figures in general, but these Pokemon are also sweets so that makes them 100% more cute. Look at them! I ordered 1 through Japan Stuffs, and I’ll be sure to make a tiny opening post for my one figure (I know so exciting) and I know it’s going to be Blastoise because that’s literally the only figure I don’t want, but honestly, even Blastoise is adorable. They’re all adorable.

These stickers! I can’t get over them! A part of me is regretting not getting any even though what would I do with them? But look! At! Them! They’re so cute?!

This pancake cushion! A little hard to see but there is a grumpy Venusaur on it, which just makes it better.

This Tea For Two teapot set! When you want a pot of tea but only for yourself. It’s a small teapot that fits in a small tea cup, and it’s so cute aaa

(Get a grip, Miki)

Moving on! There were other more “normal” items too, although just as cute, such as these two pouches. The blue pouch is a smaller “mini size” while the pink pouch is a more “normal size”.

More cute items of note: a flip-phone case with a strap, memo pad in a cute little box, gift bags so you can send gifts to your friends and have them die from cuteness before they even see what the gift is, and little towels that when folded up (see photo) are supposed to look like little cupcakes.

This promotion was an all around winner, proving the Pokemon Center can still give us super cute promotions full of super cute and original items.

What was your favorite item from this release?

Until next time~

Friday Pokemon Announcements – Pokemon Dessert Plate + Japanese Style

Friday Pokemon Announcements – Pokemon Dessert Plate + Japanese Style

Hello everyone!

The Pokemon Center gave us two cute promotion announcements on Friday, and I already can’t wait until the release!

First up, the promotion I’m most excited for: Pokemon Dessert Plate!

This promotion, featuring a bunch of sweets themed merch, will go on sale at all Pokemon Centers and Stores in Japan starting August 5th (Saturday).

There are two items that were most intriguing to me: 8 mascot plush, blind packaged figures, and what appears to be, based on description alone, a teapot/teacup set …none of which had pictures because the Pokemon Center is currently being really annoying with their news. Why not give us pictures of the stuff we want the most? Also, I’m not sure if it’s a temporary thing and someone just forgot or if it’s the new trend but none of the pictures this time had labels, which is usually fine, but sometimes what the item is can be ambiguous at best and the labels were helpful. So I dunno… thanks, Pokemon Center??

Thanks to the lovely Jen from Japan Stuffs, I can include photos of the posters the Pokemon Center put up on Saturday for both the Dessert Plate and Japanese Style promos, which include labels for things as well as pictures for the items everyone is excited about: the plush, the mascot plush, and the figures! The only thing we’re missing is the tea for one set and the mysterious “Charm Collection” from the Japanese promotion. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see!

As always, thanks for reading and until next time~

Pokemon Center Report – All-Star Plush + Fluffy & Soft Cushions

I am back two nights in a row, slowly getting caught up with my Pokemon Center Reports!

The latest release from San-ei’s All-Star series was originally scheduled for the 12th (same day as December’s Monthly Pair Pikachu and New Years 2017) but because San-ei doesn’t really like to follow release rules, they came out a week early. Why not?

img_8265

The release consisted mostly of a bunch of regular sized plush, a couple medium and large sized plush (some bigger versions of previously released Pokemon) and three cushions from the fluffy and soft (mochifuwa) cushion collection.

So what all was included? Let’s take a look!
